Artist terms and conditions
Art by the Ocean 2023 is an online Art auction and Exhibition to raise funds for Motion By The Ocean Inc. to create community connections and celebrate our environment.

- The image must be a faithful representation of the completed work.
The online entry form will be available from 17 July 2023.
Please contact the event organisers if you require assistance with your application. We are happy to help!
There are two categories of entry:
Open Artwork
- $25 application fee per artwork

- Fixed price of $200 for all artwork
- Smaller in size, maximum 30mm x 30mm.
- 50% commission payable on sale or donation options (excluding GST if applicable)
All Artwork entries will be selected at the discretion of the Art on the Move Organising Committee. Successful applicants will be notified no later than Tuesday 15 August 2023.
Exhibiting artists agree to the promotion and reproduction by print or electronic media of their artwork for the purposes of promoting Art by the Ocean and the artist.
There is no drop off or pick up required for unsold artwork.
Sale proceeds, less commissions, will be paid to artists within 21 days after the close of the auction (subject to art handover).
There will be an opportunity for artists and buyers to meet after the close of the auction at a ‘Presentation of Artworks event’ mid-October 2023.
This event is intended to create a unique connection between artists and buyers and celebrate our passengers, volunteers and supporters that create meaningful connections in our community.
Artworks remain the property and responsibility of the artist at all times until handover to a buyer, after receipt of confirmed payment.
If an artist is unable to attend the event, every effort will be made to find a suitable, mutually agreeable time for artwork handover. If this is not possible, the artist must organise postal / courier delivery to the address of the buyer.

- Youth (under 25 years category)
