The patterns and colours of Geographe Bay, especially low tide, are what inspired me. As I paint it I can almost hear and feel the people around me, the barking of dogs the calling and laughter of kids. The texture in this painting has been used very sparingly.

I worked as a Cartographic & Townplanning draftswoman and later completed Art & Design at Carine Tafe where I became very inspired by the use of texture in acrylics. I have been exhibiting since 1996, participating in many solo & group exhibitions. I regularly exhibit at Juniper Gallery and have pieces hung in the Stirling and Vincent shire art collections. I often run demonstrations showing many of my techniques using collage & texture. The ocean and her many changing moods are a constant inspiration to me.
