Hi I’m Suse, the creative mind behind SuseKorte Design & Illustration, based in Scarborough and originally from Germany. I’m creating hand drawn botanical, surf & coastal life style illustrations (analog as well as digital) inspired by WA’s most beautiful, mesmerising & vast nature around us. As a designer by trade, I’m always on the hunt for & inhaling the beauty of the local flora & our ocean views and fell directly in love with the uniqueness of these when I first cam to Australia almost ten years ago. With a background in horse riding and the countryside from early childhood on, moving to the coastal life in Down Under I found my special connection – these days riding waves instead of horses – to create another bond with Nature, especially the ocean & its vitalising untamed power. This source of inspiration allows me to wander and explore my creative talents showcasing the feeling of being home away from home and one with Nature while collecting its art to create my own vibrant and versatile artworks reflecting these impressions.
