My work, both with clay and canvas is very organic, not only in form but also in the materials I use. For example, while creating clay pieces I often incorporate seaweed, which has been gathered and dried; salt; copper wire; sugar and more. When on holidays I gravitate towards the ocean, to experience another one of nature’s extraordinary elements. The simple formation, colour and texture of ocean rocks, especially excites me. A wander along a lonely beach with gentle waves filling interesting rock pools is so special and inspiring – an experience you will often find reflected in my work.
