This painting depicts the knowledge passed down from elders to the next generation. I have painted women sharing knowledge with young girls as this resonates with my story. It is important to keep culture alive and to keep a strong connection with country in order to make sure our mental health is good and our country is thriving.

I am an emerging contemporary Aboriginal artist. I am a proud Nyikina woman from the Kimberley region as well as a mother of 3. I paint using acrylics on canvas and my style is pastel and black with neutral tones. My style depends on my mood and feelings when I am painting. I paint the stories of my elders and that of my family and events I experience that give me the urge to paint them on canvas.
