Inspiration comes from a childhood in the Kimberley’s and various trips there in adult years. The colours enrich my soul and brighten my life.
Ink on Yupo paper

Hi, Welcome to my art. The pieces I’ve submitted are inspired by the Kimberley area in Western Australia. I am mostly self-taught, although I have done workshops in the past. I have enjoyed experimenting with various mediums and watching the forms develop and tell a story. I love using a pencil, watercolour, ink and mixed media. My biggest teacher is practice. I have been doing art for many years and my home is my studio. The pieces I chose for this exhibition are ink on yupo paper. The ink is alcohol ink and the paper I use is a non porus surface, which doesn’t give a lot of control, however, can develop in a beautiful way. Choosing the Kimberley area for my work came from living in the Kimberleys as a child, so have a love for the rawness and colour.
