Betty was born in the wheat belt town of Wyalkatchem – Western Australia. After moving to Perth she completed a Diploma of Art Studies at Carine T.A.F.E. She uses all media but the last few years has enjoyed using pastels. Betty is a long time member, and past President of the Pastel Society of W. A . Her work is represented in Shire Councils, and private collections in Australia and overseas. Betty has won many awards for her pastel paintings. “I love painting the Australian landscape and coast, using light and shadows to create atmosphere, and express my passion. Traveling inland W.A. is a constant inspiration.”I was born and grew up in the wheatbelt town of Wyalkatchem. After moving to Perth I attended Carine TAFE and completed a diploma in art Studies I use all mediums to paint but love using pastels most of all and am honored to be a life member of the Pastel Society of WA – also a member of the WA Society of Art, Trigg art club.(life member) and Wanneroo ,Joondalup art society enjoying exhibiting ,work hops and demonstrating .
