Biodiversity is knowledge, and how important consequences result from our ability to assess risks and make choices about how we use marine ecosystems into the future, with over fishing greatly affecting the world we live in. The hook and fish tail is made from scrap aluminium solid 6mm wall tube, sitting on a recycled strong heavy metal base with multiple mounting locations.

My name is Gavin Cochrane a West Australian multiple award-winning metal sculpture artist. I have been a metal fabrication tradesman and coded welder for over a decade. My broad skills and knowledge in heavy metal, marine and light fabrication are extensive. I have dedicated my talents to my artistic passion and am currently pursuing it as my full-time profession. I started Cochrane made creations (CMC) about 8 years ago and am highly passionate about making my high-end one-of-a-kind sculptures. I push my details far and beyond with every sculpture I create which I think is a credit to my skills and patience as an artist. I have showcased my work in Sculpture by the Bay, Castaways, York, Bayswater, Fremantle and many more locations / exhibitions around Perth and WA.
