Participating as a buyer is easy! Simply visit our website during the auction period and browse through the available artworks. When you find a piece you love, you can place your bids or buy now directly on the website. Register here so we can give you a sneak peak of artists and works coming up for sale.
The auction will run for 10 days, giving you ample time to explore the artworks, place bids, or Buy Now.
As an online art auction, all artworks will be displayed with detailed images and descriptions on our website. While physical viewing is not available, we ensure high-quality images that capture the essence of each artwork.
To place a bid, simply click on the artwork you are interested in then click Bid. If someone outbids you, you will be notified and given the opportunity to increase your bid. The highest bid at the end of the auction period will secure the artwork.
Yes, each artwork will have a minimum starting bid. Bids must meet or exceed this minimum amount to be accepted.
You can place a bid separately in response to a higher bid, or you can make use of automatic bidding. In that case, you can set a maximum bid for any artwork you are interested in. Our system will automatically increase your bid incrementally as other bidders place their bids, up to your maximum bid amount.
At the end of the auction, if you have the highest bid on an artwork, you will be notified via email.
Payment is by credit card through the secure Stripe payment gateway. Your credit card is validated when you register and is automatically debited when you purchase or win an auction for an artwork. Motion By The Ocean Inc does not store (or even see) your card details.
Artworks may be collected at the Art By The Ocean closing event. If you, or the artist, are unable to attend, every effort will be made to find a suitable, mutually agreeable time for artwork handover.
As a buyer, you will receive a complimentary ticket to the Art By The Ocean closing event.
